Sometimes you can find a target disc in this USA tray insert, but not usually.
However, it pays to check, especially if you spot one with an old smooth-edged
jewel case. The USA back inlay is slightly lighter in color than the West German inlay.
This US inlay is exactly the same inlay used for the Japanese target pressing.
Nothing is printed on the reverse.
Booklets paired with this variation state "Printed in U.S.A." on page seven.

Notes: This target CD is not terribly hard to find, but it may take some searching.
Note that the inserts are Reprise, while the disc is Warner Bros.

and "51" embossed on the back portion, inside bottom center. Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 31"

(POLYGRAM) smooth frosted two dimple case with two long stopper bars.
"1" is embossed on the back. Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 4.2"

(POLYGRAM) heavy ridged six-tab, two dimple case with "401" embossed on one tab,
and "21" embossed on the back portion, inside bottom center. Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 23"

After the target design was discontinued in the U. S., WEA continued to have PolyGram manufacture
this title, with the new boring label style. The same disc was issued in the USA and in Europe.
In the U.S., the paper inserts are the same USA inserts pictured above that were also issued with
some copies of the later WG targets, the Japanese target, both variations of the USA target, and early
US non-target pressings.
