This exact disc and packaging was issued in Japan with a sticker obi as
38XP-40. This is what that CD looks like with obi attached.
Be careful, though, as Japanese JVC pressings were also issued with the same gold obi.

Notes: This disc is fairly common.

OTHER INTERESTING EARLY CD PRESSINGS OF THIS TITLE:

Asylum 9 60260-2
"MADE IN JAPAN      BY MATSUSHITA." at six o'clock.
"MADE BY MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC IND. CO., LTD. · Technics ·" is embossed in the plastic center.
Matrix number: 60260-2 2
Notice the gaps in the perimeter lettering that could accomodate the target design.
Likely, this pressing was issued in 1984 or before.
The front cover is the same standard cover as the WG target issue.
The back cover states "Printed in Japan"

Rear tray insert "Printed in Japan by Matsushita" with barcode.
Nothing is printed on the reverse.
My copy comes in smooth frosted-top jewel case with two long stopper bars, a small "5" embossed on the back
and a large "5" embossed on one tab. Mine also has a twelve-prong disc tray embossed "Patent pending" and "3"
I have another identical disc that comes with West German paper inserts. I have no idea
whether it was actually issued that way (there are other similar verified examples) or
if the disc was switched at some point. I bought it used.

Asylum 60260-2
"MADE IN JAPAN" (by JVC) at six o'clock.
Known matrix numbers: 60260 2 M2E12, 60260 2 M2E13, 60260 2 S3E13, 60260 2 S3E15, 60260 2 S3E18,
60260 2 S3E19, 60260-2-U4E10, 60260-2-U4E12
These matrix numbers suggest this issue was in print from 1984 to 1986 or beyond.
The front cover is the same standard cover as the WG target issue.
Page seven states "Manufactured by JVC, Japan. Printed in Japan"

Rear tray insert "Printed in Japan" with barcode.
"9 60260-2" is printed on the reverse.
